The left photo, taken about 1900?, shows Waddington Road without any houses at all, west of St Mary's Church.
The right photo taken about 1930? from near enough the same spot. The trees round the church have grown a bit and houses have been built up to Railway View. Still no houses west of the rail bridge.
The recent photo of mid 2007 sent in by - Norma - shows how the area has been added to over the years
The tinted picture postcard has been "borrowed" from a
very well run website named 'Clitheroe The Future';
the black and white picture was sent by a friend and the modern photo
was sent by a very nice Clitheroe person called Norma who saw my request
for a recent photo taken from roughly the same spot as the others.
